When I first stepped off the Canadian coach tours bus at Lake Louise I found it hard to image a place so beautiful, pristine and yet full of shops, restaurants and great accommodations. Lake Louise. While I was lucky enough to travel to this natural wonderland in the summer, there are really year round activities that make a holiday in Lake Louise Canada a great romantic get-away or a terrific place for families with children.

In the winter there are many different skiing opportunities in nearby Banff and Jasper, plus Calgary and Edmonton are an easy day trip away if you want to see the sights of the big cities. In the summer wildlife such as bighorn sheep, moose, elk and deer are abundant along the sides of the road as well as on the many hiking trails up into the Rocky Mountains. Of course a trip to the mountains wouldn’t be complete without exploring different caves and there are several guided tours of the Rat’s Nest Caves. Whitewater rafting and four wheel tours are fun for everyone and the tours are set based on your experience and comfort level. Canadian Rockies coach tours are also a wonderful way to spend a couple of days seeing the beauty of the mountains right from your base in Lake Louise.
