I work as a webmaster for a small business in Virginia and recently my boss told me that he was sending me to SEO training.  Apparently he does not like the results that he is getting when he conducts a Google or Yahoo search.

At one point, I had considered trying to convince my boss to maybe purchase some SEO packages from a SEO company in the area.  Then I thought about the impact that may have on my own job.  I think maybe I better stick with the training.

It used to be that you could make a solid website and the robot crawlers from search engines would find your site.  The better quality your content was, the better your ranking will be.  Now things have gotten so complicated due to Google that you have to almost have a degree in rocket science to be able to program a website. 

I’m going to do the best I can to get up to speed with SEO.  Getting our website near the top of the search rankings is of high priority to the company.  Odds are that if I don’t make it a high priority I will have to start using Google to find my next job.
