You probably think that powerpoint projects are something that you just create in school to give presentations and never need to use again. While it’s true that you might not need to use them, powerpoint templates can actually be a great tool for doing some really creative things.

Here are just a few ideas for creative powerpoint projects:

• Create a slide presentation for your spouse. The presentation can use text and images to say what you love most about him or her. This can be emailed as an attachment and sent to brighten up your honey’s day during a rough week. Alternatively, put it on a flash drive and stick it in a carry-on bag to be found on a business trip.
• Teach your kids about new careers. Show them how powerpoint works and introduce them to career options through a powerpoint project. Who knows, you might find that your child wants to be a powerpoint designer when she grows up!
• Create a series of art projects using powerpoint as the format. Impose rules such as that each project only has four slides, each first slide is a haiku or each project fits a specific theme. Make sure that you use free powerpoint templates for these so your creativity doesn’t cost you anything!

It’s important that we challenge ourselves to do new creative things. Every item in our lives can be fodder for that creativity, including powerpoint templates!
