Making the Attic into a Bedroom for My Daughter

42-16586977Wendy wants to make our attic room into hers with a 60’s, sort of retro atmosphere. She’s 16 now and she wants to ditch the Sesame Street pattern and her old room; it will now be my office. So we went to the store in the mall to find her new bedroom set, bedding and decorations. She picked out one of the best space-saving bedroom sets in white that has an under bed storage, which will be perfect in the smaller space of her new room.

The accessories that she decided on using are hot pink and sunset orange because of the two comforters that she wanted have these colors, along with a lime green. The print of the bedding set is big, funky flowers that we found wall hangings to match. She even found a big hot pink mirror in the shape of a flower to go along with the theme. It will draw the focal point to the east wall and hopefully make the room look a bit bigger. The finishing touches that we are adding are throw pillows and posters for her walls. She loves the Beatles and what better décor to have for a 60’s theme than a couple of cool posters.
