Butterfly tattoo designs are a very beautiful design.  They can be drawn with their wings closed as though they are waiting to take flight from the refuge of your body.  Or they can be drawn with their wings wide open, showing that they are ready to take off and take on the world.

One of the best places I think a butterfly tattoo with its wings wide open would look good is on the lower back.  Lower back tattoos offer a larger than normal area to draw a beautiful piece of art as well as a pretty flat surface to get the proportions right. 

One of the other tattoo designs I thinks looks great on the lower back is a star tattoo.  Star tattoos can be just little stars or magnified bright stars like a comet or a shooting star.  Just having that art emblazoned on my lower back would be awesome!

Both butterfly tattoos and stars offer the recipient a way to show the world what they think of themselves.  You can be ready to take off like a butterfly or are already a part of brightening up the world.
