Many assume attending culinary arts institutes means wearing funny hats and whisking things in large bowls. In reality, a culinary arts degree will require just as much time in the classroom as it will in the kitchen. It is only after students are well versed in these subjects that they can approach a kitchen environment in a knowledgeable manner.
