You have made the decision that you are going to spend at least a few months living in Tampa, Florida. Unfortunately, you have to have a job while you are there. You’re not too excited about getting a great Tampa condo rental and then having to leave it for eight hours each day to go to work. The solution, of course, is to work from home.

In order to do work from your Tampa apartment, you’ll need to put a few things into place:

• Secure a job that will allow you to work from home. Ideally, you could continue telecommuting to your existing employer. Alternatively, seek out new employment with an online or at-home component.
• Make sure that you have what you need to do the job. An online job would require a high speed Internet connection. A home-based daycare would require certain state certifications.
• Make sure there are no limitations. Some apartments in Tampa Florida would not allow you to operate daycare services from the home but would let you do online work without a problem.

You don’t have to go work at an office eight hours each day. However, to work from your Tampa home you would need to be willing to invest some time, energy and maybe even a little bit of money to get set up.
