Don’t Do Your Business Printing at Home

People who operate home-based businesses typically try to do everything from home so that they can save on costs. That’s smart but there are actually some things that you should outsource to other service providers because doing so will save you both money and time. One of those things is your printing.
Of course, you would still do basic printing at home in the sense of printing out documents that you need. However, you would want to move any big printing jobs (business cards, brochures, lengthy documents) away from your home and to a copy shop. This is particularly true of color printing services which are far more costly to do at home than to have done through a color printing company.
We often don’t realize how much we spend on printing because we just buy our printer’s ink and forget about it. However, the cost of the ink and the paper can really add up quickly. Track your use and you’ll see what I mean. Plus the quality of at-home printing is not as high as it is at the copy shop so you’re really wasting your money on something that isn’t even that good when done at home. Save money where it makes sense but don’t cut corners on services like this that should be done outside of the house.

I run a small business from my home and I would do all my printing from my house. I realized that printing my brochures and business cards from home was costing me alot of money. I ended up going to a local printing store and saved alot of money!!

I dont really agree with this blog. I think it depends on what kinda of printer you have and if your are just printing in black and white it wont cost as much as going to a printing store. I print everything from my home including large documents and business cards and I feel like I am saving money.

I have to make brochures for my highschool drama class. I was not sure if it would be better to print them at my house or just go to a printing store and have them print my brochures for me. After reading this blog I am going to go to a printing store because I think it will be cheaper to do it that way. Thank you for the information.
